So ignore the bass releases and just focus on the psybient ones then if you’re that disappointed, or are you similarly unhappy with the state of psybient as well? I’m just the messenger here, never claimed that the two genres were the same, that’s why they’re separated to begin with. But that’s not to say that psybass has no place here, like it or not it is an important part of the psychedelic scene.

The new bass music releases have nothing to to with psyhedelic music anymore. Even the so called psybass releases. Even Shanti Planti’s new releases are pretty average, just the usual bleep-blop-blap bass with some clicks & cuts and the same rhythm kick and snare everywhere. No creativity here, the “artists” just mimic each other. Psychedelic music used to be full of layered mind blowing melodies, but these new bass music tracks are just soulless nonsense.
